With the pearl interior what color seatbelts are correct? I've never heard of white seatbelts-there's a fair amount of black accents inside, maybe black seat belts--is this correct?
Thanks,
dave

One other question I have a comfort grip steering wheel-I've heard other people refer to these as a 'sport wheel'-what color should it be-I have a black one?????!!!!!!!
Thanks,
dave

Pearl (or ivory) interiors use black colored seatbelts. I presume you have a '70?

You should have black seatbelts, and since most of the trim in your interior is black, you should also have a black steering wheel. Generally, the steering wheel should be the same color as the column, which should be the same color as the kickpanels, carpet, dash, etc. With the white interiors, usually only the seats, doorpanels, and headliner were white, most other stuff was black.

weister1, I have a '70 with a pearl interior -- pearl seatcovers, headrests, door panels, windlace, and armbase/armrests. The dash, dashpad, carpet, kickpanels, console, seatbelts and headliner are all black. This is the way it came stock from the factory.

Havoc- One addition to the column color info....all SS cars in 70 had black columns. Pretty sure it's 70-72 SS cars. Because of the black face of the dash.

I have a 69 with parchment interior (white-pearl) and have black belts. My headliner is white and so is the wind lace. Check out my web page to see the interior of my car. The pictures are of the car before I took it apart and it was totaly original and untouched.

Hey, thanks Dave. You're right, because my SS which had a Jade green interior has a black column! Never thought about that... I know that both my dad's Malibus with Sandalwood interiors have tan steering columns, so I assumed SS's would be the same. Now that I think about it, that would be incredibly ugly http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
