I have been having a problem with my 67 el camino leaking. I tried caulking the window seals and I fiberglassed a few very small rust holes but it didn't work. I am now going to remove the rear window and replace the seal and try to patch the rust with a new panel. Does anyone know where i can get a patch panel for just the upper part of the cab wall under the rear window?

Thanks

If there's one thing I've learned about working on these old cars, it is this: Where there's rust, there's more rust."

Try OPG. I bought a patch panel from them, and although I have not welded it in yet, it seems to be a decent fit. I think it was about $30.

Tucker, you can email me if you want. I have a 67 Elky. Perhaps I can give you sympathy, moral support or laugh at/with you. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Do you think there's enough room here on the coast for two 67 Elkys?

My staff installed a patch panel in my 66 Elcamino. You will need to trim ends to fit. VERY heavy material. Fit and looked as original. You will need to install new mldg. clip studs. The most difficult part is butt welding new panel to old lower panel and finishing off. Weld point is very close to raised portion of lower panel. Pay special attention to & check fit of rear glass mouldings. Will check who my source was of panel, did this about 5 years ago. Karl
