Just looking for 66-67 el camino`s that have been backhalfed. Not sure if it`s what I want to do but a friend of mine planted a seed and I`m curious. Thanks.

lol, well I don`t know if I want to go through all the hassle but they do look awsome. The last 66-67 I saw tubbed was a 66 in a mag and it had 29x18.5 mickey thompsons and was lowered some. Looked great. I just hate to tube a car and not have a motor to justify it and I don`t know that I will. My buddy and I were talking about his old 55 p/u that he back halfed and ran a 427/4spd and it was fast and fun. He said I should tub the 67 and it just got me thinking.

I was never a fan of tubed cars or trucks, but I like the idea of a mini tub...:beers:

well if I`m going to do it I`ll go the full deal because it will be about the same amount of work to mini tub it as doing a full rear clip. I don`t think I`m going to do it but I wanted to see some pics of some cars that were.

Not a 66-67 but my 69 is backhalved. It was in prostreet trim when I bought it. I've even had thoughts of putting it back, someday.

That red one is awsome. Thanks for the pics guys but I think I`ve decided not to go that route. I`m pretty sure I can make do with whatever size I can fit in the factory wells. Thanks again.

On my last 66 el camino I had a 28x12.5 e.t. street on an 8 inch wheel with a 4.5 back spacing. No cutting required of the wheel well. Slammed to the ground! Just for your info.

I have a set of 28x12.5 ET streets mounted on 15x8 (4.5bs) that will fit inside the wheel wells of my 67 Elcamino. I did have to *roll* the fender lip though
