: Sealing front inner shields to fenders...

What if anything do you use to seal the front inner shields to the fenders? I'm thinking 3M strip caulk might be a good choice.

If you are talking about putting new weather shields on the inner fenders, Nothing

No, actually I mean the lip of the inner shield to where it bolts to the fender lip. In my factory assembly manual it says something about a strip of sealer in between, if I wouldn't have seen that I would have never even thought there was anything there.

I'm sure strip calk would work fine for that, Butyl available in caulking tube form (NAPA) also works well for applications like this- just clean the excess off with wax and grease remover. I definately feel sealing these areas helps, less squeaks, no dust or dirt collection in these areas to absorb and retain moisture, etc. Bob
