Set to "Deja Varoom" from Southern Culture on the Skids, some friends of mine. Check out the small bock dragster with the front mounted blower and the V12 (Allison I think) powered car.

That is cool! Its amazing how little protection and saftey equipment those guys had.... I believe a couple of the small block rails have SCoT blowers..
That allison literally incinerates that tires! :D
I posted the link on a local drag racing message board.

Here's more vintage drags in a video by one of my favorite bands 'The Dynotones':

I am a big fan of early 60's Orange County CA drag and surf culture. That explains the kooky wheel and tire selection for my Chevelle. :D

I thought y'all might like that. Rick, the singer/lead guitarist for the band has a 69 El Camino. I tried getting him to join the site but he's way too busy between recording, touring and his new son. Too bad, he's a pretty funny guy. He calls his El Camino the mullet of the muscle car world.

A friend of mine has a '67, and his kids call it CAT/DOG.

Those are wild, and I'm amazed at how squirrelly they are coming out of the hole. You realy had to pay attention.

I wish that starter was on "Pinks". Maybe I'd watch it more often.

The dragster with the Allison airplane engine was Art Arfons' Green Monster.
I believe the gold dragster with the enclosed cockpit was the Dragliner.
Potvin was at one time very common for the front blower drive setups.
