Where is the correct place to install rear bumper guards on a 71 SS Chevelle? Does anyone have the correct measurements for drilling the holes in the rear bumper? A diagram would be great. Also does anyone have the measurements or diagram for drilling the holes for the SS and 454 emblems on the front fenders?

Thanks,
Michael

Michael...I measured from the middle of the SS emblem on the bumper to the middle of the rubber on the rear bumper guard and came up with 11-3/4 inches. I can't see the holes because mine are installed. I would duct tape the bumper guard to the bumper, mark the holes with a magic marker and dlill small holes to start. Then check the alignment. Then drill 5 or 6 times while increasing the drill size. I would also drill thru duck tape so you don't chip the chrome...Bill

Thanks Bill. I tried to email you. I have not completely decided to put the bumper guards on - do yuo have a picture of the rear end of your Chevelle? Also, that is a great looking 71 you have.

Thanks,
Michael

Michael... I will have to take a close-up pic of my 71 rear bumper so you can see what the rear bumper guards look like. I'll try to get that done tomorrow. (Tue) Bill
