Yep, you absolutely can. It is a little tedious, but you can do it.
I suppose one of the more challenging things about doing this is getting the preload springs back in. Do you know any French words? You'll need them!

How in the name of all thing sacred do you get that spring pack assembly back in? Especially w/the unit installed?

I just zip-tied the whole assembly together, stuck it in, then cut all the zip ties. Then pulled all the zip ties outta there.

I guess you can do it without taking the ring gear off, but it is MUCH easier with the ring gear removed.
