Just bought the car 2 days ago and was wondering what type of car to get the floor pans and molings from. I know some parts come from ElCamino's and some come from Chevelle's. If anyone has any input for me it would help.

The bodywork on this car shares parts with ElCamino. It has a longer (116 inch) wheelbase than the 2 door car so a lot of 2 door parts will not work easily . Maybe some of the 4 door car panels, like parts of the floor, might be useful. In essence, the El Camino is a station wagon with part of the roof gone. The front fenders will not interchange with the Chevelle.

Been told? *shifty eyes* Anyone used them with success?

I may have come off as rude, but it was not my intent. Just skeptical curiosity.

i did not take it as being rude for one second. i just dont have an answer for you. someone once told me, i dont remember who, it was a very relyable source, that they took all the measurements and found that the earlier 66-67 car floors were the same dimensions as the 68-72 wagon and that they had used them with a perfect fit. i have not personally used them or checked out the dimensions to say that i have done it myself. so, i just pass this hopefully very helpful and unknown fact along. one day someone will be able to confirm it for me again, but right now, if i needed to replace a floor i sure would give it a try.
