Is there supposed to be seam sealer around the edge where the door skin folds around the door shell? My factory doors don't have it, but I don't know if it was removed during a previous paint job. graemlins/beers.gif

I would put some there anyway, first time you hit a puddle of water it going to get down in the seams if nothing keeps it out.
My .02 cents anyway.

My cars have the original door skins on them and they do not have seam sealer on them. If your looking for 100% correct, don't do it. If your gonna drive the car in the rain, you can put a small bead of sealer on the skins then wipe most of it off with your finger so it's not obvious, but still seals..

Thanks , I didn't think that there was any seam sealer there but I thought I would ask. graemlins/beers.gif

I am with Bill, if you apply a small bead of "flowable" seam sealer right on the seam. Immediately "run" your finger down the seam while applying pressure. It will press into the seam leaving almost nothing. You can use wax and grease remover to get any remainder off. It won't look any different than paint there, even on a 100 point show car. I HIGHLY recommend it as well as a "cavity wax" on the inside.

Thanks Brian, I intend to do that even though my car shouldn't see rain very often, I still have to wash it.....Thanks again, Mike
