I need to replace a rocker on my 67 and I need a full factory type with all the little flanges and tabs that extend into the lower cowl area behind the door hinges. who makes these. im contemplating replacing the whole rocker because its rusted at the front and rear. but that means ill need to remove the quarter and outer wheel house. my body is currently off the frame and on blocks should i put it back on the frame if Im gonna be cutting out so much metal. the quarters and wheel houses are rusted any way so should i just fully commit and do all the work replacing the quarter rocker and wheel houses at the same time. my trunk filler panel is also bad under the window so i supose i could replace that at the same time.

I don't know who to call for them, but I ordered a full rocker for my 67 about 6 years ago. It came without the little details you mentioned and it also fit terrible. The profile was off by 1\2" in places. I ended up trashing it and found a used rocker off of a 65 GTO that fit perfect.

i found replacement rocker panels at www.jcwhitney.com (http://www.jcwhitney.com) they cost $29 each. i have not ordered them yet but im thinking of doing both sides because mine are completely shot...

for 29 dollars i would assume that you would get what you pay for. the good marks are 109 and they say factory type. Ill call em up. I personally wouldnt get any sheet metal from jc witney. I think you will be very disapointed with the fit and finish.

update i called good mark today and they said that the rocker panels for the 64-67 are exact factory reproductions. meaning they ahve all the same shapes tabs holes ect. so should I put my body back on frame to install the rocker.
im on a tight budget and im fixing this car up to be a driver quality. plus i dont mind putting extra time to save money.. but yea i definitely expect the quality to be really low..

I can see where your coming from but i have to say that the rocker is a very important structural part of your body. Also the cheap rockers may almost be unusable. i bought some replacemnet kick panels from shermans and they were absolute junk I could not even make them fit with work they would not even cover the intended area. I ended up throwing them away and fabbing my own panel. i opted to try and buy cheap stuuff and it backfired. The point is that there comes a time when you just have to suck it up and pay for the decent or good parts whether your building a budget driver or not.

structural support... hmmm that really got me thinking.. im actually considering the better quality rockers.... thanks for reminding me about the rocker panel being a structural piece.. i was thinking of it as asthetics only.. Rad
