I am starting to put my body back on my frame and install the engine. What I would like to do is re-assembly in these steps.

1) Body back on frame.
2) AC and heater and rest of firewall put back together.
3) Install new engine/tranny, wire harness hook up all electrical connections.
4) Install core support, inner fender and radiator.
5) Run engine, break in cam, check for leaks.
6) When all looks good with engine put outer fenders and hood back on.
7) Go for a drive.

How does this look to you guys? I want to keep the outer fenders off to protect them but more to ease access to the motor. Is this logic sound. If I put the motor in with the inner fenders removed I can install it with the headers on it correct? Thanks as always.............Ward

Ward, you are correct in keeping the fenders out of the way. I did mine as a complete rolling chassis inlcuding the complete drive line, set the body back on the frame, then firewall/core support items and lastly front clip and finish wiring. You are headed in the right direction.

I agree with Jeff. A lot easier to install the engine & trans without the body in the way. All your other plans look good.

Yep, drop the motor in the frame first. You'll be glad you did. Besides, a rolling chassis with drivetrain in place just looks cool! Get some pictures!
