Hi this is my first post here, but I have ben reading and searching for the past 3 months. I just brought a 72 malibu from CT got it at a steal I think. Guy said nobody would buy it because it had a pontiac 400 in it. But it just had new quarter panels installed on both sides
and came with lt and rt side floor pans and new interior in the box. What i need to know is there any books on how to relace the floor pans. I can fit through the holes in my floor and the passenger side kick panel is abought gone need help.

Most of the books out there will deal with basic body and sheetmetal work. You probably won't find any how-to books that will walk you through a floor panel replacement step by step on a Chevelle. This site is your best resource. It would help if you had a digital camera and could post some pics.

Go through the main page and look about 4 links down from the tech boards and you will see the link to the main Tech Ref page. Wonderful section full of great writeups on this and many other repairs/upgrades.
