Art Morrison puts out a good video that shows you the steps to doing it. I would highly recommend getting a pre-welded clip to install.

Its definitely an involving process that requires the know how and the location/tools to do it right. Are you desperately after the look of a tubbed car or whats your motivation for tubbing?

If your after the look thats one thing. You will do what you gotta do to get there and make it look like you want it to. whether you got to pay someone to do all of it or what, I wont tell you not to do it if thats what you want. But there is lots to it, so be prepared.

But.....if your just trying to hook and arent really after the look mainly, I personally would have a couple long talks with as many guys as you can find concerning setting up your suspension for traction. There are plenty of SUPER fast cars out there(And here) without going all out with the full tub job. So, I had to ask cause you might save lots of time, work, and money if all you need to do is hook better, cause there is often a way that does not involve a tub job.

Its me again with a little if that might be useful(or useless maybe too). I still dont know if you are tubbing for the looks of it, or because you want to hook better, but here goes.

Anyways, I just stumbled across this pic that you may or may not be interested in.

Check this link(its from a thread right here on the board).

http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143961&page=2

Now, that link should go to the second page. If it doesnt, make sure to click on the second page and scroll all the way down to the bottom and look at the pic of the velle.

As you will see....that thing is yankin the wheels like mad without a ton of tire. Im sure they are good tires, as well as good suspension, but they definitely are not big huge meats. So, if you do want to tub for traction, this might be useful cause that pic is just perfect(it shows off the tires very well). You can see plain as day just how hard that thing hooked, and you can get similar results with similar tires depending on what your racing. Now if its all about the looks.....disreguard my last two posts cause good suspension wont make it look like it has fat tires hehe!
