I am interested in purchasing an hvlp paint gun. I know Sata is by far the best but out of my price range( two kids in private school). Out of the Binks M1-G, Sharpe Cobalt, or the new Devilbiss Plus which one would be the better choice? I am about to paint my brother-in-law's Mustang (forgive me for saying the "F" word (FORD) on this site). I also will be working on a truck for my son in the very near future so a would like a paint gun that will give me the best job for my money. Thanks. graemlins/waving.gif

I have used the M1-G for years and really like it, make sure you have enough CFM to run a HVLP though,or paint will be very peely!!!I have started using the SATA RP and LOVE it. One for sale on E-Bay right now for what you'de pay for the Binks.Item # 2322039935 Mike

Yep. I bought a new Sata RP off of Ebay for $300.I would go for a 1.3 tip though. I would spend a couple more bucks and get the best. You could always resell it when your done if you keep it clean.
