I just got my new roller cam , can someone recommend spring pressures? My cam card didn't list any numbers for me!Its a herbert , #s @ .050 are 258,271
with lift of .685 ,.683 and lobe center of 108 . The heads are canfield 310 and the engine is an 11.2 compression 433.This is race only , no rev kit.
Thanks guys.

Depending on your spring pockets, I think either the K-motion 950 for 1.55 or 1000 for 1.625 should be good.

Jason,
The only correct answer to your question is for you to call the cam manufacturer and ask them what spring pressures you should be running. Anything else is a guess at best.

210# to 230# on the seat and 500# to 650# open is what you are going to need. Why so much duration split on the cam? The Canfields have an excellent exhaust port and don't need that much.

Thanks for the advice on pressures,I knew someone out there could help me. As for the split duration ,i really just looked over herberts catalog and chose the cam i thought would be best. I will run a small NOS kit at the track 175 worth, and i figured since the lobe seperation wasn't ideal i could use the extra exhaust duration.Would i make more power/torque with less ex.duration?
BTW i also have 2 inch primary headers. The good part is the car only weighs 3100 with me in it.
thanks jason
