Used my new Devilbiss Finishline 3 HPLV gravity gun for the first time this weekend to spray entire car with PPG epoxy mixed as a sealer. I set up the gun with the recommended 23 psi at the gun,(guage at gun), and with MARTINSR's help via Basics of Basics gun setup. I was surprised by the amount of overspray that I had going on, and even the sound of the air and paint coming out of the gun, like a conventional. I sprayed all of the hanging parts first, hood, trunk, front and rear filler panels, fender extentions...Then I cleaned and tackled the body.I ended up having to scuff the entire side closest to the hanging parts ( 5 feet avay) as it was covered with overspray with some of it stuck. Any thoughts?? By the way the epoxy layed out fantastic, smooth as a babys aurse. Im very pleased with the results.
