I just bought a 70 El Camino in Texas from the 3rd owner. Not an SS. Beautiful Metalflake charcoal grey with light grey SS stripes. No rust, perfect body, perfect original interior, very clean under the car. original 350, 150K original miles, th350, 10 bolt rear. Runs like a champ, full stainless 2 1/2" exhaust all the way back thru flowmasters. Cragar chrome street star wheels with new rubber. Just drove it from Texas to Virginia without a hint of trouble.

Any guesses what its worth? I paid $6k and thought I got a pretty good deal.

Thanks,

chris

That isn't a good deal, you stole it  Post a picture of the car and you holding the gun you had when you purchased it :D

I would guess at least $10K. Great deal!

A pic is worth a thousand words, but it sounds like you made out well!

1964 Elcamino...Funny you should mention guns. The car was in a shady part of town in Dallas and I was taking cash. So...I had a buddy with me on leave from the SEAL teams and a loaded sawed-off 12 behind the seat just in case things got squirelly. I was worried about it being so cheap so my spider senses were a bit edgy.

All went well though :) I'll post a pic when I take one shortly.
