My cousin has a 72 chevelle which I just finished restoring mechanically (All new drive train, suspension the works) and he crashed it today. He took out the drivers side fender.

We always wanted to make the car look like a 69 Yenko do you know of anyone who has done this? Does anyone know if the front fenders and hood from a 69 will fit on a 72 as a direct replacement?

The poor guy in one week lost his job (union electrician was laid off) had is primary car stolen and then crashes his 72.

If you could help me out I would truely appreciate it and if you can suggest where's the best place to get replacment bod parts it be helpful as well.

I titled the email "Help a Fire Figher" in case there were an other brothers on this forum.

Thanks again

69 fenders are totally different from 72. The only exterior body panel I can think of that is the same between these two years is the deck lid. Sorry about the layoff, I'm a retired union electrician & faced that often over the years in the trade. What LU is he out of & is he a JIW? Work is really going well here & lots of travellers working.

I'm not sure which union he is in, I know he works in the ossining NY area. The worst part is that he is expecting his first kid next week.

Thanks for the help
