: quarter panel replacement question johnd Dec 16th, 02, 7:04 PM ok, I was looking through my part supply magazines and almost everyone has quarters that are replacements but the thing is I need to replace part of the door jam also where can I get a quarter that is good quality and goes into the door jam?? John Dykstra RandyB Dec 16th, 02, 8:55 PM A full 1/4 will have the door jamb. We just replaced the whole ass end with full 1/4's, door skins and the complete rear of the car. I can tell you this, the 1/4's back at the trunk area do not fit perfect and require some extensive massaging to get it close. The aftermarket parts fit if you replace the entire rear section, and even then they need work to get the weatherstripiing channels to fit right. Whenever possible get GM.. I replaced many quarters NOS and a few goodmarks and Ive had no problems with the goodmarks what so ever. Every panel, I dont care if its NOS or goodmark WILL need some type of tweak to fit right. Each car is different with diff tolerences and if you think you are going to just slap parts on and go you are only kidding yourself.
