Trying to find the gaskets that go around the inserts to seal to the hood on a 66SS. Tried lots of vendors, but thay all say that no one makes them. Could some one please tell me if you know of a company that makes these? or what have some of you done that worked?

I don't remember gaskets being there when I took mine apart, but that was over 4 years ago. I put it back together without any gaskets and did not see a problem with the fit.

Don't even recall seeing gaskets pictured in the assembly manual, but, I will check.

Thanx. It just seems that metal to metal would'nt seal so great,and washing the car I thought that maybe the water would seep into the engine compartment? On my inserts there is a small chanel were you might think something went there.at least I did.Thanx again for any help....
