I recently installed new rims and tires. Here (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143360) I wanted to use a small spacer to raise the back about an inch. I searched the site and found that people have been using the spacer by Mr. Gasket and can't imagine how the spring being raised off the lower mount wouldn't slip off. I rolled the lips on both fenders and have no more rubbing, but would still like about 1" more height. I didn't want to change the springs because I plan to go back to a 275/60-15 eventually.

The rims & tires came as a set already. That's why the tires are 275/50's

The spring is under so much of a load that it can't slip off of the spacer unless the shocks were removed allowing the rearend to hang down.
