What do you guys think is the best bang for buck?

Vortecs It's simply hard to beat these for the amount of flow with good port velocity. For your average 400hp 350, these will come within 10hp of the Edel RPM's with slightly better low end.

Here is a set of Vortecs from a local shop. With the 5 angle valve job, these will flow even better then the ones in the Chevy Hi Performance.

out of those 2, Vortecs. Only bad thing is you have to use a Vortec style intake.

The Edelbrock heads are expensive for what they are. The GMPP products are generally less expensive and of at least equal quality with the Edelbrock products.

true and I saw at Scoggin Dikckies a set of Vortec heads and intake for close to same price as eldelbrok heads. Make me wonder if the edlebrok heads would be the way to go.

I would run brodix IK180's or IK200's depending on the build.

Both types of heads are good entry level performers for the money invested. Very easy to get 400 HP with either and that makes for a nice driver! :D
