I'm guessing since you want 13" brakes, you also want to handle well, correct?

If my assumption is right, there are basically only 2 ways I would go:
1) Lower Budget: Stock disc or drum spindles with tall ball-joints from SC&C to improve the geometry, and a C5 brake kit from some place like Kore3 to fit the stock spindles

2) A little more money, but worth it if you can afford it: ATS's tall "AFX" spindle (with their billet steer arm). No brake kit is needed, as C5 rotors and calipers will bolt right on :)

As for your question about the B-spindle, do a search on "bumpsteer" in this forum and see if it's something you're willing to live with... then if you decide it's worth the trade-offs, scoop up one of the many B-spindle setups that are being ebay'd or posted in the Team Chevelle, Lateral-G, and Pro-Touring classifieds way cheap with aftermarket 13" brakes already on them from guys who are taking them off and swapping to AFX spindles, and finding out their current brakes won't fit. :D

your honest i like that!!!!!!!Thanks. I really hope everyone sees it that way, and don't think I'm associated with SC&C since I recommend them all the time. Great products, great service, and great prices... not much more I can say  I'm just a happy customer. :)

i have looked into the kore3 hub actually but wasn't sure which spindle to use. You can save a bit of money by using a drum-brake hub, and machining it down to fit inside the C5 rotor hat if you, or someone you know, has acces to a lathe. This would leave you just needing their bracket, and you could source the rotors, calipers, hoses, and pads from anywhere else. If you or someone you know can get a discount through GM, they may be cheaper there. This will bring the price of a C5 conversion down considerably.

yes i want this to handle nice around coners etc.the spindles you recomm are sweet but little pricey!!!! so another suspension quesion in your own opinion!!! adjsutable upper with howe ball jointa or the spindles from sc&c?You would need the upper A-arms with both options. Unless you plan on doing some serious road-racing, the tall ball-joints will be more than adequate. The difference in handling and feel between the two options wouldn't really be noticeable on a mild street car, unless you were to take it to the edge of its limits, and were experienced at doing so.

Hopefully someone else can chime in to help with the rest of your questions, I've gotta run... vacation for a few days. :)

a drum brake hub? fill me in on this i am intersted in hearing this!!!! I don't mind spending money to do it right but if there is a cheaper way and is just as good i am always intersted!!!!!
are you running c5 brakes on your car by they way???? looking for a template of the mounting bracket for the caliper, a guy i know said he will make them for me using aircraft heavy duty aluium 7040 or something like that but needs template to do so and know the hole sizeso correctly drill and tap them.

i guess no one is willing to chime in on this subject but i do thank yo for my advice!!!!!!! oh just by the way how far are you from Foley???? i think i spelled it right,my girl friend's family lives there and i am up there like twice a year. thanks for all your info you share and i do take advice!!!

do a search for disc brake conversions and you will find Dereks article for disc brake conversions for~ $800 and he shows you how to use your drum spindles.

Drums use a hub that fits right on a disc spindle. All you need to do to use these with C5 brakes is to machine down the outside diameter so they fit inside the C5 rotor hat. Drum hubs can be found for practically nothing (most guys toss them out when they do a disc conversion) They will be heavier than the aluminum ones from KORE3, but if you have access to a lathe, you can save a lot of money. :)

I will be converting to C5 brakes this winter, but I need to get my new wheels first (17s required for 13" brakes). I don't have a template yet. :( I'm not sure I'd want to make that bracket out of aluminum, though... It's not a very big piece (not much weight to save) and it's very critical for strength. Maybe an engineer could tell you differently with some type of load analysis, but I'm not that smart :D
