: 70 SS found build sheet
chev537 Sep 6th, 06, 9:04 PM Thought I would share some of my excitement of finding my build sheet. I bought 2 what I believed to be 70 SS cars in Oklahoma earlier this summer. One was built in Leeds and one in Van Nuys. The Leeds car was more complete so I've spent more time on it, The van car I was planning on selling to help pay for the other one. Had the van car in the shop today and after reading some posts here about build sheets on the tank, I thought I had nothing to lose, so down it came. On top was about 90-95% of the sheet intact, just dirty, used a soft paint brush to dust it off..car was a 396 350hp, automatic,a/c.disc brakes, green on green, white stripes, white roof...I took pics but I'm having a hard time getting them loaded.... So now I either sell it, build the other car or keep and build later....I think i called a few buddys as well to come have a look at the sheet because its really in good shape except for 1 corner....
furball8994 Sep 6th, 06, 9:14 PM  396/350 a/c car! I'd keep it.
chev537 Sep 6th, 06, 9:53 PM the other car is also a 396/auto a/c, also green on green but stripe delete, just havent found build sheet anywhere in the interior yet, not sure if Leeds cars put them on top of the tank, guess i'll be finding out
hep1966 Sep 7th, 06, 9:10 AM You're in Canada. Were the cars originally sold in Canada? If so, you have another source for obtaining information about how the car was originally built. Someone please provide the link.
elcamino Sep 7th, 06, 9:18 AM Leeds, look inside front fenders. Shine light into the hinge area, they were taped to back of fenders.
Chevy fan attic Sep 7th, 06, 10:32 AM For a Canada car go to this site. There is a phone number for Canada cars and you can get a verification sheet. You lucky bastard. http://www.chevellestuff.com/index.htm
