T=Tonawanda engine plant
1015=Oct 15th engine assembly date
IVH=66 Impala 396/325hp L-35 with Holley carb
IV was used from 65-68 for this Impala application but only 66 used the third digit to designate carb.

F=Flint vehicle assembly plant
11146=last few digits of car's vin

thanx it's going in my 67 ss 396 vert. this is the closest thing i've found so i'm going to snatch it up. i assumed it was original to the car i'm pulling it from however the car is wrecked. to bad i can't find the original. by the way is there a book with such info? or a website? thanx again for your quick reply.

The Team Members home page has access to an engine ID section.
Or you can check casting numbers here on Mortec
http://www.mortec.com/
I like to use MSA BB suffix code book as first reference because it also covers late model engines. This is their web site
http://www.msa-1.com/home.cfm
You can always post any numbers questions up in the Tag Team area also.
