I am going to try and lift the body this weekend. When looking in the back I realized I only have two places I can lift from. One being the truck locking brace( I think that istoo weak) The second is the braces at the tail light housings. Do you guys think the second option is doable without damage?

Thanks
Todd

I used a chain through the tailite trunk openings but centered at the trunk locking device on my 66 , worked fine.

Hey Jim

I did it this weekend. It took longer to hook the chains up than it did to room the body. A budy and I took two engine hoists. Position them both perpendicular to the side of the car. one at the front and one at the rear obviously. Hook to the holes for the front body mount in the engine compartment and the rear were in the holes at the rear tail light housings in the trunk. Pick both front and rear up at the same time. I had the frame sitting on four jack stands. (frame completely stripped of components.) My friend and I just picked up the frame and pulled out to the opposite side of the car. My daugher moved the jacks stands for us and put them under the frame. Then I put 3 cynder blocks (per side) under the front mounts. I bolted a 48" 4x4 bolted to a saw horse and put it where the gas tank straps bolted into at the rear. I will tak some pics of it tonight and try to post them.

Thanks for the pics frank. They really helped.
