I just posted a add with pictures but my pictures arent showing up does it take 24 hrs to download ,it isnt saying my pics are to big or anything,does anyone know the fix thanks.

It probably means your pics are too big. Sometimes the classified software doesn't tell you that it is. You might try reducing the pic so the file size is under 100kb. I don't think there is a hold time for pics in ads.

Okay I did some investigating and I was able to upload a 458kb photo into the classifieds with a non-member login. How big of a file were you using? I'll try a bigger one to see what happens if it is too large.

You are right, it is most likely too large. We will be upgrading the software soon and I "think" one of the changes is letting you know if the pict is too big. The newer cameras create images far larger than was ever thought useable so the software just chokes and no images show up.

okay i reduced from 500to 350 still didnt upload then to 200 still nothing 100 still nothing now to 75 still wont upload i have no idea any help would be great.okay i went back and seen my pic are 12.5kb maybe im downloading them wrong i am going to browse then to my pics select click open and it will show my documents and where i uploaded next to browse i continue for the other two pics the same way then hit submitt it takes a minute then says i successfully edited my add but i still dont see my pics.am i doing something wrong?

I believe i found the problem when i down size my pics they were in jpeg then when i finished i noticed they were in bitmap i am unable to change it.thankyou for your help i beleive this is the problem.irfran view program dont know how to put it back to jpeg if i am able to, not real familiar with this program.

Typically when saving a pic the software you are using will give the option to save as type. Your computer should have the paint software (a simple photo editor) Open the pic with that and then under file do a save as Then that should give you the option to save as something other than bitmap. Bitmap files are typically large and could be your problem. Hope that helps. IF you can't figure it out send the pics to jwa.mod@gmail.c*m and I can fiddle with them for you. (change the c*m to com to get the email addy to work.) Hope this helps.

Jeff i was finally able to download my pictures,the problem was the bitmap files thanks for the info on saving my pics under save as with jpeg im a little rusty when it comes to computers
