It's not a sedan, it's a 300 Deluxe sport coupe, model 13437. If it were a sedan it would be model 13427, like Don Lightfoot's car.

1969 was the first year the 300 Deluxe was offered in both a sedan (post) and coupe (hardtop) series. Typically the seller isn't Chevelle-smart with statements like This car was special ordered with the 300 deluxe option.
You don't special order a particular series and the 300 Deluxe was a series not an option but rather the base model Chevelle in 1969.

His production number total is a bit off as well
Production total of 7,100 300 deluxe 2 dr coupes is correct for V8 models of the coupes but that's not stated. Then the all important 'make-it-sound-good' percentages maybe 10% remain, far less ss396's with original drivetrain still intact.

If they'd just quit trying to state facts like The block has never been decked it still retains the factory assembly stamps and dated codes on the front pad, it was either never stamped with a vin number ,which is not uncommon, or it is in the alternate location by the transmission flange (Interestingly Jan 7 1969 is the time the engine date codes are thought to be moved from the lower area to the top of the bellhousing area). Federal law mandated CON VINs in 1968. It would be very uncommon to NOT have one. I have CON VIN locations for KC cars as early as 3rd week in September and it's by the oil filter. Whoever 'thinks' they were moved on Jan 7 isn't doing research.

The car itself looks pretty nice but the seller is typical. :clonk:

Numbers look good to me on the engine pad.

The 1968 model year was the last for the 300 as an entry level Chevelle and 1969 was the last year for the 300 Deluxe as well. In 1970 the base Chevelle was simply called a Chevelle 'Standard'. :)
