I know this has been asked before but after searching, it has been awhile.

I am wanting an SS hood for my '66 Malibu. Has the quality improved any over the past few years? Is there still a crowning issue with them? This will be no show car but instead a very nice cruiser. I don't want to spend the money for an original hood unless someone has one at a good price. I figure an original will need work as well as the repop.
