I am reading posts about primer and MartinSR says you can get the Martin Senour primer at Napa Auto. I looked on their website and they did not have any listing for this product.
Has anyone been able to get it at a Napa Auto store?

MartinSr answered this somewhere...maybe on another forum. NAPA labeled paint is Martin Senour, but then Martin Senour is Sherwin Williams...same stuff. Many years ago, NAPA stores had the Martin Senour labeled paints but somewhere along the line, wanted their own label...still the same paint.

SO if it's the same as Sherwin Williams, can I get it at a Sherwin Williams store? I want a polyester high build primer.

Let me say this, Martin Senour paint is a NAPA "bastard" child. ALL NAPA stores have access to the product, not all want it. Out of 77 stores I serviced in northern Calif. only 15 actually mixed paint. But that is not to say that you couldn't get every product out side of mixed paint from them. In Fact, in my territory I had paint mixed at a DC that happen to have a store that mixed paint. They just sent it to the store that didn't mix as they would with any brake or engine part that was ordered. So there are more than a few ways to skin a parts man. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
But I have to say that most of these guys are totally brain less and couldn't fine thier butt with two hands.
If you have a Sherwin Willaims (automotive finishes) store nearby you can get the polyester primer using part number RS3400 or 21. I like the RS3400.
If you want any part numbers just email me or post it here. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

I'll testify to Sherwin Williams paints.
I've used PPG, Dupont, and Sikkens once.
Great products. I have found a primer identical to Duponts Europrime high build that I can get for 65$ a set up. S-W paints are a bit higher than PPG, but I think they are better.
