I am currently restoring a 71 SS and I am having trouble finding replacement front body mounts that attach to the fire wall. Should I just try to repair them or find new ones. Also if anyone knows where to get them it would be greatly appreciated

I am not sure what part you are referring to. Is it the metal structure that is on top of the rubber mount and is welded to the front corner of the car body? If so , it would have to come from a car in a salvage yard. From what folks have posted here, such a part could be gotten from a salvage yard known as "Sundell's" in Slippery Rock PA. If I have missed your point, please add info or edit your original post so we can get a little more detail. Hope this helps.

I'm with JW on this one.. The rubber mounts can be gotten anywhere.. the metal bracket (welded on, under the cowl, kinda square) which is part of the body must be gotten off a donor. If this is what you need it may be tricky and you may need part of the floor as well.

The only other part I can think of is the bracket that attaches the fenderwell to the firewall... Help us out with the discription alittle more..
