I was wondering if anyone can give me a ballpark figure on a 68 327 originally 275 horse, rebuilt to 350 horse. this engine is in my camaro ss, it is fresh rebuilt with 600 miles just broke in. My camaro came with a 350 and I would like to sell the 327, it is numbers matching w/ heads and suffix coded for a 68 chevelle with a th350.

suffix code 68 chevelle el-camino with camel hump heads that are the same month as block, block codes as 68 327 275h.p.
First off, the way you have worded your post, makes it look like a thinly disguised for sale ad which are not supposed to be posted in the forums. For sale ads go in the classifieds: www.chevelles.com/classifieds (http://www.chevelles.com/classifieds).
Next numbers match in the car world usually is inferring the engine is original to a certain car not that the engine has date matched or performance level matched parts.
Value wise the engine isn't worth much more than any typical built up 327 unless you can find the Malibu the engine came out of. There are very few 68 Malibu owners who would consider your engine more valuable than a similar built SBC that they can get anywhere. I expect you will be lucky to get more that 1000-1200 bucks. If you are thinking that is low, for a few more dollars I can get a bigger engine from Chevy with a warranty. Also I have a local machine shop that has a great rep that will build me a nice SBC for $1500 or less if I have a core. Put it in the classifieds and put best offer on it. If you get an acceptable offer take it. If not re-evaluate what you think it is worth. Good Luck
