Sorry, not Chevelle related but...
Al is at work and the door latch of our Yukon is in the closed position and I can't pry it open to close the door.
The locks seem to work fine but the latch itself is over centered and it just wont open.

ok, is there a trick I can try without tearing the door panel off?

put a screwdriver in the hole where striker goes and pull while pulling door handle

An old fix that works on most vehicles. Glad to hear you got it to work.
