When the son and I pulled off the springs and rear end off the car, it looks like we have a mismatch on parts... I believe the 2 parts the left attach on the inside of the spring to the rear axle spring supports and the upper portion of the spring just rides against the upper frame support area. Correct?

The other part (to the right) was added by the previous owner but doesn't show up in any catalogs or rear spring assembly diagrams I can find.... not sure why?

Those two oblong plates are correct and fit the form of the bottom spring...just as you suspect. That round piece doesn't belong (unless the top frame is rusted out?). The top of the spring fits in a "key" on the frame...be sure to use the impregnated coil Insulator for the top. It's a rubber piece with embedded cord that fits over the top of the spring as a cushion...

Upper plates are not rusted out so this was just an "extra" that the previous owner must have tossed in.... I had one insulator piece which is pretty shot so I need to order me a set.

Thanks for the confirmation.
