: Pics of First Paint/Body Job
1Quik7D Dec 16th, 04, 12:08 AM Hey everyone, I thought I'd play around with posting some pics, so I guess I'll find out if it works.
I finally finished my 7 year frame off restoration and thought I'd post some pics of my very first attempt at paint & body. I hope to have more pics soon! Scot

1Quik7D Jan 2nd, 05, 10:19 PM Sorry guys, I'm not sure what the deal is. When I view the post, they open right up and I can see them.
70isfine, do you know why they cant be posted directly from yahoo? I'll put the link below, maybe that will work, but I guess I should just have Dot set me up in the show room!

Dean Jan 2nd, 05, 10:26 PM That did it.
Looks very good, did you do it yourself?
1Quik7D Jan 2nd, 05, 10:41 PM Hi Dean,
Yep, thanks primarily to this site (and autobodystore.com), I did all of it myself. Motor, tranny, interior, paint/body...the only thing I didnt do was rebuild the 12 bolt. I had someone do that for me.
When I started on this project 7 years ago, I didnt even know how to weld!! As you can see, all of that has changed! I remember stumbling across Team Chevelle when it was in it's infant stages, and had no idea what an impact this site would have.
When I first started, I was just hoping to shoot some paint on an old beater that I bought right out of highschool in '89. Luckily I did everthing on a budget and huge learning curve, enabling me have the time to end up doing a frame off resto. I didnt intend on ending up with something that would be worth showing off, but what the heck, maybe I'll show up at the Great Mall next year! Scot
