I think it would look really good.
A Deep black with maybe cranberry red strips with a bit of metalflake in them.

Anyone have anything close to this?

I want to get a chevelle soon and thats the color I want! Except not cranberry red I want a brighter red stripes. In the movie The Faculty the kid has either a camaro or chevelle painted like that and ever since I saw that movie thats what I want. So go rent the movie or try to find a pic of it on a fan site or something.
