We've replaced the trunk filler panel (between the rear window & trunk) on my '67 SS by piecing & patching. We have it pretty solid, & would now like to restore the "seam line" in the lower corner on each side between the trunk opening & the rear window. At first we filled & radius'd that area & it really didn't look right. I think that I remember that there was a seam there, which I would like to simulate with working the filler, etc. to retain the look like we never touched it. Please don't get me wrong, I'm far from a purist, but I'd like to make it look better than the filled radius. Does anyone have a picture of one with a good shot of that lower corner that we could use as a guide? It would also be helpful to see how it looks with relation to the outside rear window trim over to the trunk opening. Any suggestions or sources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..Odie.

Odie. Sorry, I do not have a picture to show. The seam looks like a 2 mm bead you so often find in the covers of seats and benches. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I do recall it being like you describe. I think I'm still going to try to get a picture from someone over at the Tech 2001. Maybe someone would take a digital picture of their completed car or something. Thanks again. ODIE.
