Anyone have any ideas about why my fuel gauge would sweep to full when parking brake applied? It doesn't work right now at all but this seems weird.

Also I want to convert my ss idiot light dash to a ss gauge dash with tach and small fuel gauge, any tips?

Check your body grounds. I'm thinking that when you mash the parking brake, You are either improving the ground through the brake cables or the switch is feeding back a better ground.

Agreed, I just went through this on my 69. If you use an OHM meter you can check the sender, on mine the ground to the sender was bad and had to pull the tank.

Might check the black ground wires attached to the parking brake.
