: Engine Won't Start

1970 Chevelle SS won't start. Engine cranks just find but won't start. It has a new battery. Alternator is very old. Do you think its the alternator ? If so, Why ?

The alternator has nothing to do with it not starting it just keeps the battery charged.

Is it getting spark at the plugs?
Is it getting gas?
