I've got a '72 Sprint that I've been having a left-pull problem with...

I've kinda had this problem with it pulling to the left, slightly at first but most recently it seems more pronounced. First, I rebuilt the front end suspension with PE bushings and new shocks, really helped with body roll, but it had that pull to the left still, even after fresh tires and a re-alignment. still a pretty hefty left pull. I got the printout from the alignment shop basicly, I think it was caster in front was 'good' but in the rear... possibly particularly the passenger side it was in the negative. So the problem is I don't know where that problem is coming from and I want to fix it.

More background...the passenger rear is also where I had a heck of a time with getting the Wilwood brake kit to work - it was a few degrees out of alignment somewhere. The caliper was at a noticeable angle compared to the rotor, and wouldn't fit with the pads on rotor -So i got a new caliper mounting bracket shipped to me which fixed a majority of the angle issue, then I shimmed the rotor (equidistantly) outwards with some washers to make the pads equidistant from the rotor (it had been where the rotor was noticeably closer to the 'inside' pad). So, I think that the problem is in the passenger rear, somewhere from the gears out... any input would be greatly appreciated... If I could avoid going with a new rear end that would be awesome, because I'd rather pump the money into the bottom end of my s.b.

Sounds more like an axle or the axle tube is bent. I had a 12 bolt rebuilt a couple years ago where the tube had pulled out and twisted. Takes a jig to put your rear on to see if it's out of alignment. But you need to pull the axles, and carrier.

Once the tubes were pressed back in and aligned, the tube was welded to the center section.

If the rear end is bent and out of alignement you will wear your gears/bearings out if they aren't making noise already.

Easiest course of action is to pull your passenger side axle and check to see if it is bent or has abnormal wear.
