I just finished the body restoration on my 67SS. It was painted its original color (tuxedo black). It has 4 coates base, 4 coats clear. It has been wet sanded to a mirror finish. The question I have is what is the best Polish and Wax to use? Meguires?
The car has been sitting for about 7 weeks since the paint job.

Try Zaino, it's the best stuff I've ever used, especially on black. All the waxes I have ever tried leave minor scratches or swirls because they have very mild abrasives in them. Zaino has a product that actually eliminates the swirls.

I just bought a new black vehicle and the dealer washed it before I took delivery and put swirl marks in it because the towels they used to dry were not 100% cotton. I used the Zaino swirl remover and polish and now it is "swirl free".

Try it....you won't be disapointed. Check out their website (a little more expensive than regular wax but worth it!). http://www.zainobros.com/

Thanks for the info. I was also looking into the professional line for Meguires. It is the #7 polish and the #26 wax. Any thoughts?

I tried Zaino about a month ago and the Blazer still looks and feels like it was just done! Its still slick to the touch! Great stuff!
