Anybody visiting the Black Hills (South Dakota) this weekend? I find myself still in Sturgis until the first week of September and am starting to see some Hot Rods rolling through town. Nice encore to two weeks of hundreds of thousands of bikes.

Thought if I'd check out the action over in Deadwood tonight and/or tomorrow morning. It'd be nice to meet up with somebody, I need a break from working on the yard and house.

I have plenty of room (2 bedroom house, 2 bedroom mobile home, 2 room star trailer) and plenty of parking (1/2 acre) in Sturgis right on Hwy 34 (Lazelle St.), 10 miles from Deadwood, should lodging be needed.

Can't tell that I'm bored can you? Going from a 24 hr city of 1.7 million to a town of 6,442 for eight weeks is pure torture. Granted, for two weeks it was relaxing, but I'm about over it. I have to work a BMW commercial in the Badlands for 3 days next week, then I'm outta here.

Well, what a coincidence - just moved out of Badlands where I was park manager so we would probably have met! I was there when BMW did their commercials about 5 years ago. Retired to Oklahoma last fall but never missed a day or tow of Deadwood nights - expecitng 700 registered vehicles this year and a good band line up. Enjoy!! Wish I was going to be there...
