I have a 71 chevelle that needs the passenger side quater panel reapired it has rusted to the point of the lower quater not touching the wheel lip on the inner fender in the rear and has sprong up I can push on it an it bounces up like a spring. body shop said 900 to cut and weld new metal on it. I dont have that type of cash so would it be good to just fiberglass it up with resin and mat. and a lil bit of bondo? here a pic the shows a small part of the rear quater http://home.att.net/~knoldon/Mvc_002s.jpg

Save your money and get it done right or learn to do it yourself. You will be happier with the job in the long run.

Save your money. If you try the fiberglass fix, you'll just be tossing that money down the drain, and you'll end up spending more in the long run.
You might want to look into a body shop course at your local community college. The tuition is usually very affordable, and they will usually, not always, but usually let you use your car as a shop project. That would be a much better way to spend the money you have, rather than wasting it on a cheesy repair that is not going to hold up.

I think I would fix that big oil leak under the car first.
