Please discuss, exactly, step-by-step, what is involved in changing the vacuum modulator on the transmission (th-350C).

I did not realize that there were two parts to this. I thought that it was just the canister.

remove the bolt and the hold down,remove the old modulator,replace with new.
You will lose some fluid,so have a pan near by

A) what's the deal with "red" stripe, "green" stripe, "brown" stripe etc.?


B) Is there i difference between large canister and small canister?

C) Does the modulator valve come with the canister, usually, when you buy it at pepboys, advance, autozone etc.?

i'm not a mechanic so i need extreme detail.
