Finally after all the work, the day is near. Goes in for paint tomorrow at 10 am. I am just like an expectant father. Don't think I'll be able to sleep till shes home. Visions of a beautiful beaumont dancing thru my empty head

Shes going to be a very dark blue, a close match to the danube blue. A base clear Speis Heckner paint (sp??)
Hence the name blumont (blue beaumont) kinda goofy I know but what the heck

Next I have to start researching color sanding. Been reading up but still have questions on it.If any one knows of any good literature on the proper process I would greatly appreciate it

Congrats on getting her into the paint shop. Its always nice to get to that point. I was as excited as you when I took my 68 elco in last November. The excitement wore off a while ago, however, as I'm still waiting for it to be finished. They tell me its "on-deck" and that I should have it back by June. Probably a good thing it has taken so long, becuase I keep changing my mind on the color.

Flavor of the week is competition orange

I wouldn't be able to take the waiting that long, it would kill me. I should have her back next wednesday. They are painting inside doors, trunk etc on Friday then I guess the balance early next week
