: 70 Rocker Panels clogged!

After removing the kick panels to clean out the leaves, dirt, sand and mouse nest I started checking how the drain path works from the cowl and found that my rocker panels are full of the same crap.

I know there is a hole toward the rear wheel but it's very small and I think it would clog very easily (already has) if I try to flush them out with water. Is the inside of the rocker accessible from the front when you remove the fender? Any other access to remove this stuff?

Any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated......thanks!

Not sure if this will help any, but here is a pic of my 70 convertible in that area in question

Thanks for the pic - doesn't look like there's access with the fender off. I'm going to make the existing hole towards the rear a little larger and hopefully be able to get all of the junk thatt's caught in there out by flushing water through. Maybe a bent wire hanger will help break some of it up too.....

I never knew the rockers were full of this crud - it's hard to believe that with this design, they are not all totally rusted out in every car........

Now I feel like I need to nuetralize the rust and coat the inside of the rockers or I'll have big problems not too far in the future....just gotta figure out how to do it!!!!!
