I just purchased a 1972 Chevelle. The front looks like it rides too high so I looked at the springs and noticed something about 1.5" square expanding the spring up. Is this typical? Is this a "fix" of some kind someone did?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

sounds like someone put a rubber stop in the spring to help raise it, you could take it out and see how the car sits and rides, maybe the front springs are weak.

Thanks - this thing rides like a bowl of jello. Trying to figure out how to drop it a little and get a decent ride out of it.
