on 69 chevelle was the brake dist valve a brass blk or a steel[cast] blk that mounts down on the drivers side frame rail? if steel was it painted or left as natural color? bill:confused:

Natural color is correct, but its gunna rust, so I sprayed mine cast.:D

Mine was/is just unpainted/natural brass. brass doesn't rust :)
