Hi guys,
I have to change the speedo gear in my 350 turbo tranny. The question I have is... after dropping the driveshaft, and removing the back of the tranny. Is a bunch of fluid going to come pouring out?
Thanks

I just did this yesterday. Had maybe half a cup of fluid come out when I removed the speedo housing from the tailhousing, just enough to make a mess and get all over the place :). I'd have a catch pan underneath just in case.
FWIW, took me an hour, with the trans in the car and the car on jackstands, to remove the d.s. and tailhousing, replace the gear, and put it all back together again.

If your goig to remove the tail shaft to change the drive gear for your speedo you can expect more fluid than previously stated
