SS had many permutations in 72. If you search this site for Chevrolet Customer service, You will find an 800 number. Call them & give them the VIN of your 72 and they will send you a package of info specific to 72 models. The info won't be specific to your elky, but should give you an excellent idea of what options could be ordered. in 72. If you want to know if your elky is a true SS, the only way to know for sure is if you have an original build sheet, protecto-plate , bill-of-sale OR IF the 5th digit of your VIN is W.
